Emily Gui is a Bay Area-based artist and educator. Using collections of discarded or overlooked commonplace objects as both subject and material, her recent work highlights a shift from utility to refuse, lingering on the relationship between consumer and object.
The work currently on view was created in the past two years reusing packaging materials and other found objects.
A show of new work from 2022 will open on April 16th from 5—8pm.
